Nutrition + Business Workshop
You worked your holistic buns off in school and can tell us everything there is to know about kale. You want to scream all of your delicious knowledge from the rooftop but where to begin? In our experience, starting a business can feel a bit overwhelming. We want to help by sharing how we built our businesses so you can get out there and do the same. We have created an epic weekend of workshops to leave you feeling inspired and ready to take the next step.
WHO: Holistic nutrition students, graduates, and entrepreneurs eager to learn how we built thriving businesses that we love!
WHAT: A two-day workshop made up of eight modules and two lunch and learns. Each led by the best in our industry to show you how to make it in the dynamic world of holistic nutrition. Hot drinks, snacks, and lunches will be provided. Keep scrolling down for the full breakdown.

Module One:
Private Practice with Jennifer Brott of My Edible Advice
You study holistic nutrition, earn your credentials, and then start a private practice easy breezy lemon squeezy, right? Hrm, not so fast. It takes a lot of work and strategy and I’m going to share my recipe to success with you. Consulting has been my full-time gig for over a decade and I’ve had the honour of working with thousands of clients. I would LOVE to see more nutritionists in private practice, but I know first hand it is easier said than done to get started and maintain a thriving business.
In this module you will learn:
How my clients and I find one another.
How to take an intake that connects you with exactly what you and your client need to keep your relationship going.
Why I have worked in four locations and the good and bad about each of them.
What the heck do I have left to say with clients that I’ve been working with since 2009? And why do some clients not make it past the first appointment? I’ll tell you everything.
We’ll also go over some of the nitty-gritty details like fee schedule, booking software, and how to make sure you keep your practice in the scope of our profession.

Module Four:
Online Practice with Kate Horsman of Kate Horsman Nutrition
We will open the discussion to understanding the different ways in which we can share our messaging and work to the population outside of our in person practice. We will explore online courses, webinars, and how the heck you can begin to make them a reality. We will touch base on :
knowing your audience. the how to's and the why's?
strategizing what the need is, and how we are going to fill that need
platforms needed to create content, organize and present
what the tech? Simple Skills and Troubleshooting the tech of it all.
Come up with 1-2 strategies for building an online practice to take into the future.
